We left after just two hours, although I’d paid for two days, and they wouldn’t refund even one day. The rooms were dirty and stained, and the whole room smelled of urine. The bathroom water supply also didn’t work properly. The employees couldn’t communicate in English, and they made fun of us because I’m a foreigner with a Filipina girlfriend. I’ve never dealt with staff so unprofessional, especially the woman who cleans the rooms. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. I can only warn people away, you’ll regret going in.

The rooms are small, but the staff were really helpful and accommodating. The neighborhood gets noisy from jeepneys and tricycles, especially when drivers play loud music. Also, the tenants at the office by the driveway entrance were incredibly rude and inconsiderate. They parked their cars near the entrance and blocked people from getting in or out.

There wasn’t even toilet paper in the bathroom, the fridge wasn’t plugged in, and there was no Netflix or Wi-Fi. I got bitten by bugs, and an extra pillow cost me 300 peso. The place was much dirtier than the photos. Don’t make my mistake and book it.

Montclair Suites is right in downtown Toril, with dozens of restaurants, malls, and public transport stops within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room smelled moldy, and I woke up every night struggling to breathe. We could hear guests in other rooms coughing at night too.
