Dumaguete Dormitel

We had an amazing stay. The internet connection could use an upgrade, though.

A nice option for staying in Dumaguete.

The location made getting around easy: Dumaguete Dormitel is about a five-minute walk from the town center, with restaurants, bars, markets, and supermarkets all around. Even though it sits beside the road and has quite a few rooms, it was calm and quiet during our stay. People were considerate, and we never heard anyone shouting. We picked a double room rather than a shared one, and it worked out really well. It was fairly roomy, with two large single beds, a desk and chair, a table, bench, mirror, wardrobe, TV, refrigerator, and air conditioning. The private bathroom had a toilet, sink, and shower in separate sections, which helped keep things dry. We also had our own terrace with a clothes rack for wet laundry. Towels, toilet paper, and a welcome kit with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap were provided. There are shared spaces with sofas and tables on each floor and by reception, handy for relaxing, working, or chatting with other travelers. The internet was good, which helped us get work done, something that can be difficult in the Philippines. They also offer laundry service and a water dispenser for a fee. Staff are available at reception to help, and there’s a security guard at the entrance at night. The room matched what we expected, and the location is a real plus. I’d recommend Dumaguete Dormitel.
