I was only there for one night, but the room was spacious and comfortable, with a big TV. For the price, this place beats a lot of spots I've paid twice as much for. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and it's just a few steps from downtown. Highly recommend it if you need somewhere to stay in Dumaguete City.

Good price, clean room, nice staff, and some great sandwiches. The dogs were lovely too, with fun names. My only real bother was the neon light outside shining into my room when the lights were off. The windows are sealed, so I couldn't do anything about it. I wanted to rip that light out :(

The rooms were nice, so I gave two stars, and the receptionist who served me the next day was really nice too. A young cleaner was friendly as well. But on my first checkout, the receptionist working 10-12 Feb didn't greet guests and kept looking at her phone while talking to her. When I paid for one night, she said the payment hadn't gone through. I told her I'd followed the machine's steps, and she was rude and muttered something before noticing there was no paper in the machine to print a receipt. The security guard was out cleaning the backyard most of the time, so there was pretty much no guard in sight. He was supposed to rent us three scooters. At 10:30 he said they'd be there at 11:00; at 11:10 he said only two were available and they'd be there soon. We waited in the room until noon, then he told us, "you can walk it's only five minutes away". I've rarely run into hotel staff this rude and arrogant. When my girlfriend arrived, I booked another hotel. Hopefully the owners will have some Philippino pride and fire staff like this.

For what it is, the place was clean and comfy enough, with a quiet room and friendly-enough staff. It did the job. Still, at this price I expected a kettle in the room to boil water. There wasn't one.

The WiFi situation left me feeling stranded, so I had to check out. They advertise free WiFi, but during my two-day stay it barely worked, and the staff didn't seem concerned. They said, "We use local data". When the connection did work, for about six hours, it was open WiFi, while the other hotels in the area had secure WiFi. I also saw a moldy shower curtain and dirt and spiderwebs behind the TV and pictures on the wall. The fancy woodwork on the ceiling looked nice once you looked past the dead bugs and spiders stuck to it. How does management miss this? Because they're not looking. Time to crack down on the kids cleaning the place and do some inspections. With a few simple improvements, this place could be great.
