The diving was a big part of my trip, and both the Dauin and Apo Island days went smoothly. The instructors and guides were professional and friendly, the gear was current and well maintained, and the boat ride between the islands was comfortable. Back at Harolds Mansion, I found the staff friendly as ever, and Harold was welcoming and accommodating. The hotel has improved a lot since my pre-Covid stay. My room felt modern, clean, and comfortable, with the basics covered. Breakfast is a light local spread on the rooftop, where you get a nice view of the surrounding area, and it’s a good place to relax after walking around. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are mostly within walking distance, right near the heart of Dumaguete. It was another quick trip with a fun dive tour, and I’ll be back. You can have a great time here without spending too much.

The rooftop common area was a highlight for me, with lovely views and an easygoing feel that made it simple to meet other travelers. The location is also handy for exploring, close to the waterfront, cafes, and restaurants. I found the dive trips and tours well organized and affordable, which made seeing Apo Island and the surrounding area easier. Harold’s Mansion had clean, well-kept rooms that were surprisingly spacious for a hostel, and the staff were helpful and made me feel at home. It’s a great mix of comfort, community, and adventure, with really good value for the price. I’d happily stay again whether I was backpacking, diving, or just passing through Dumaguete.

Harold was especially attentive and did a lot to make me comfortable. The whole team was professional and welcoming, and the warm service made me feel at ease throughout my stay at Harold's. My room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, and the common areas were relaxing. There were also good dining options nearby and thoughtful touches around the property. Everything felt luxurious for my time in DGT, and I’d recommend staying here if you’re looking for a memorable, smooth visit.

The rooms were okay, the Wi-fi was free, and the location was good. But the front desk staff and managers weren’t friendly or approachable. We had a reservation, yet they gave our rooms to walk-in customers. It took a lot of arguing before they offered us alternative rooms.

Harold is the man. We had such a fun time at this wonderful place, and the staff made the atmosphere feel welcoming and friendly. I’d gladly give the hotel and its staff five stars. A great pick if you want some fun along with style and comfort.
