Lighthouse Point Hotel

The room was clean, with towels, toiletries, lots of luggage storage, free fast wifi, and cold aircon. There were no slippers, and no refrigerator in the room, but the staff kindly put my pasalubong, silvannas and suman, in theirs. It's a few minutes' drive from the airport. There's no elevator, which could make things hard with heavy luggage. The top-floor restaurant served good food. Breakfast was tasty, as was the lechon kawali I ordered for lunch, though it took about 30 minutes to arrive. The pool is only a dipping pool, too small for much swimming. My stay was because Cebu Pacific cancelled our flight to the next day. Our shuttle was coming at 3PM, but they said I had to check out at 12PM because other guests had booked the room and I couldn't extend. I had to wait three hours in the restaurant instead of resting. Other guests whose flights Cebu Pacific had cancelled were allowed to extend and rest, and I wish they'd done the same for me.

The staff were welcoming, and breakfast was excellent. We spent one night in the premium quadruple room. It's a handy place to rest in Dumaguete before catching a ferry or flight, with the city center accessible by tricycle. Thanks, see you again.

The hotel is nicely presented and decorated, the restaurant and bar served the food and drinks well, and the staff were very helpful. We booked 4 rooms and didn't realize bottled water cost 30 each. Having the staff ask for the 30 at checkout spoiled the experience. Management should provide FREE bottled water in the rooms. I would've given 5 stars if they did, like other hotels in this class.

The friendly, accommodating staff helped make my stay pleasant. The room was a decent size, with a soft bed and comfortable pillow, a working cable TV, fast WiFi, cold air conditioning, hot and cold shower, bidet, and a convenient water dispenser. It had good storage too. I slept well, though the toilet and towels had stains that needed better cleaning. There are no convenience stores or sari-sari stores nearby, so bring what you need. Food is pricey, as is common in hotels, and the restaurant, bar, and pool are all on the third floor, which isn't ideal for guests with disabilities. The pool is only for dipping, not laps. There were lots of mosquitoes, especially around the bar. There's no elevator, and they provide only one key, so you can't keep the room cool while you're out. In the single room there also wasn't a proper place to eat. I'd stay again for the comfort, amenities, and staff, but with those drawbacks in mind. Better cleaning, a second key, and mosquito control would improve things.
