El Oriente Beach

We come here at least once a year, and it’s a fun place for a family day out. El Oriante sits right on the coast, with great views, two pools, and plenty of space to enjoy the water. The kids’ pool has slides and a giant bucket that dumps water. The adults’ pool is deeper for swimming, with covered seating along the edges and a small bar right beside it. Several cabanas are available to rent, with room for ten people, and the resort can bring food right to them. The food is good, but ordering takes planning. Delivery can easily take an hour or more. You can bring your own food too, but you have to carry it in yourself. Rooms include free access to the park, though the options aren’t always great. The biggest family room has no TV or WiFi, while the other rooms have those but are much smaller. They’re also somewhat pricey compared with Dumaguete City generally. Still, it’s a great day out with family or friends, and I’d recommend it to locals and visitors.
