Charo's Dormitel

The hotel is great, and the staff are kind and friendly. The restaurant is a different story. Order your dishes one at a time, or they'll bring everything to the table in one batch. The kitchen staff were rude, and the owner seemed to have no idea how short orders should be prepared.

When storm Crising hit on 07/18/25, ferry trips to Siquijor were cancelled, so we needed somewhere to stay until service resumed the next day. I'm glad Expedia recommended this place. The hotel is spotless, with tasteful decor and an in-house restaurant that's a treat for wine and gourmet food lovers. The staff are courteous and efficient, and it feels just right for travelers and tourists. I'll recommend it to family and friends, and come back when I'm in Dumaguete. Kudos to the owners.

We were a group staying just overnight while waiting for our flight to Manila. We arrived late, but the restaurant was still taking last orders. The waitresses kindly made us hot drinks that weren't on the menu, and the food we ordered was delicious and filling.

The room felt homely, with old style furniture, two armchairs, a coffee table, a large wardrobe with hangers, and a really comfortable bed. There was also a good shower with hot water and strong pressure. The WiFi was stable, and breakfast was included and really good. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. One of the girls even found a button and sewed it back onto my shorts. I arrived on February 14th after the hotel shuttle bus picked me up at Dumaguete airport. At reception, Lizzie, Marvey and Ching greeted me with a lovely chorus of "Happy Valentines day," and check in was quick. My bags were taken up to the room. It's definitely one of the best hotel stays I've had anywhere in the world. I'll stay there again next time I'm in Dumaguete. Well done Charos.
