I loved the calm, unplugged feel of my two days at Residencia Orlina. There's no TV or fridge, just old-school charm and some of the friendliest staff. Jane, James, Joey, Nikko (the clerk?), and Wilson the night chef made it feel like home. Comfortable and quiet, just what I wanted. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The rooms are spacious and the place is close to the airport, but the location isn't very central, so you'll need Grab to reach the center. There was no TV, and they don't even provide complimentary coffee. The vintage design can't hide the old smell in the room, which has no window or proper ventilation. Sound carries too, so we could hear the neighbors talking and doing things. I wouldn't book again because of the lack of ventilation.

The boutique hotel has amazing antiques, and the Wi-Fi was steady and solid. They even have Starlink. The location gets a 10/10: right in the heart of Dumaguete City, near restaurants, malls, drug stores, and gas stations, on a peaceful, quiet, safe street. Our room was magical, ultra clean, with what I think were king-size beds, clean sheets, soft pillows, and fresh white towels. Everything felt perfect. The managers, Jaffar and Mabelle, really understand customer service. They were accommodating, patient, helpful, and professional. The owner was just as down to earth and kindly told us about the beauty of Dumaguete.
