Asia Novo Boutique Hotel - Dumaguete

The location is the best part, close to nearly everywhere. The bed was decent, but the room wasn’t very clean and there were small cockroaches in the bathroom. There’s no shower curtain, so everything gets wet, and the hot shower is only slightly cold at best. The shower head is terrible, pointed badly and spraying everywhere except at you. The aircon struggled to cool the room. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The location is excellent, right beside Lee plaza shopping mall in the heart of Dumaguete city. The building and room are old and need renovation, but they’ve kept the place clean and comfortable.

It was a mixed bag. The room felt dated and not very boutique, but it was clean, roomy, and functional. Right by Lee Plaza and unitop, so shopping was easy to bring back. My bathroom sink was cracked, and because the shower drains are on both sides of the toilet, the floor was often wet. The shower could get hot if you wanted. Wifi was hit and miss too, and one of our flooe access points had no internet. Nothing was wrong enough to complain about, but I wouldn’t rush back.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and a good size. Shopping and restaurants are close by, and the location is great. But I could smell diesel in the lobby and corridors, and my room smelled very moldy. Several rounds of Lysol didn’t fix the smell. Hopefully it was temporary. They offered to move me, but I was only there for 2 nights and didn’t want to pack up all my things.
