The food tasted good, and the SOLA venue was easy to reach. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the cook kindly added a small platter of the beef dish when I raised the portion issue. But the buffet we'd ordered for 30 people was nowhere near enough. We were told the budget allowed just two kilos of each dish, and the food was served in small 10-inch chafing dishes. The rice was also scarce, even though it was supposed to be unlimited. Six teachers were still waiting in line when everything ran out. I tried to order six meals from the restaurant, but the kitchen had closed and its staff had left, so I had to get them through Foodpanda from another restaurant. If I'd known the portions would be so small, I could have ordered two or three servings per person, haha.

The room was clean and simple, and the price was low. Staff were friendly enough to show me the rooms and let me choose one. It was usually very quiet, though events sometimes brought daytime music that started in the late morning and stopped early.

The rooms feel dated. The AC cover kept dropping off, exposing a really dirty, clogged filter.

There’s a kiddie pool and toys for children, and we booked parties here a few times because the buffet used to taste so good around summer last year. By August 2016, though, the buffet had gone downhill. That was disappointing. I hope the food gets better again.

They seem to be just starting out. The location is great, the rooms are nice, and the staff are friendly.
