Amakan Bed Bunk Breakfast

I stayed here twice and felt comfortable and welcome both times. The staff are incredible, the rooms are clean and have everything you need, and breakfast is really good. I’d highly recommend it if you want a familiar place with great people.

The breakfast chef, who’s also the boss, is really good. The room is in a building next to the road, with wooden furniture, a good bed, air con, and a window facing the garden. The toilet could work better, but otherwise this is a pretty good place to stay in El Nido, and I definitely recommend it. There’s a nice local bakery, laundry, and coffee shop by the main entrance.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It was dirty everywhere, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, not just for a few days or weeks. The smell was awful, and the bathroom was disgusting to enter. We raised it with the hosts, who said they’d clean the next morning, but they never did and basically took no responsibility. We travel as a couple, and after one night here we both got sick. Strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Why were you repairing things at 7 in the morning? Is that really normal? Haven’t you had any tourism or hospitality training? And please make an effort to light the hotel entrance. Come on, liven the place up a bit. Guests come from all over the world, so try to keep up with the civilized world. Every room needs soap. You need to learn that, it’s part of running a hotel. You can do better. I’ll come back again, sweet people.
