The location is convenient for getting around. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, the beach is just across the road down a small alley, and the main town is about a 30-minute walk or a very cheap trike ride away. I actually preferred this beach to the one in town. Our ground-floor room was right beside reception, the kitchen, and the staff room, so we had to ask the staff to keep the noise down at night. The hotel is on the main road, traffic noise is constant, and sound carries through the building when the front door is often left open. Roosters add to the noise, so light sleepers may struggle. The room was a decent size with a fan and modern air conditioning. The compact bathroom worked, water pressure was acceptable, but hot water was limited. Wi-Fi was poor, and the mattress was firm. I wouldn’t stay again because a good night’s sleep matters to me.

I was in room number 8 on the top floor. The hotel sits in a quiet part of El Nido, far enough from town to feel peaceful but close enough for a tuk-tuk ride to the center for 100PP. My room was spacious and very clean, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff checked regularly whether I wanted the room cleaned and were helpful with tour bookings and general questions. There’s a pharmacy and general store right across from the hotel. This is one of the better places I’ve stayed in the Philippines. I’ve paid more for much worse, and I’m not traveling on a budget.

The staff were helpful, and the location was decent. It’s very basic, but the shower was hot and the Wi-Fi was reasonable. The TV was nearly useless and the bed a bit uncomfortable. A noisy cockerel right behind the room woke me at 5am.

The rooms were moldy. I told the owner, and they said there would absolutely be no refunds. EDIT: In response to your reply, turning on the air conditioning doesn’t get rid of toxic black mold. It’s a health hazard, and the rooms shouldn’t be listed until they’re fixed. You offered the other room for an additional cost.

We nearly skipped this place because of its average reviews, but it ended up being the best value for money of our whole trip in Palawan. The room was clean and spacious, with AC, and the staff were super friendly. The location was perfect, not far from the port or from las cabanas, a really nice beach, and close to good food options. I wish this guesthouse all the best!
