There’s a nice view of both the mountains and sea from this hilltop spot. The rooms have attractive native designs and the features you need. The owner and staff are very helpful and accommodating. A cosy place to stay.

We were glad to be away from the crowds, even though this secluded spot took about an hour to reach by moped and there isn’t much else around. Our rustic treetop house looked out over tropical gardens, with the sea in the distance. The staff were very accommodating, and the vegetable curry at dinner was delicious. This beautiful oasis was just what we needed. I’d recommend it if you want a more authentic stay away from the crowds of el nido town.

We chose this basic stay near Sibaltan to get away from central El Nido’s bustle. The huts are bare bones, but the bed was comfortable and had good nets. Outside the room there’s a lovely view from the table and swing, though that area is open to the elements. The electricity was on only from about 6pm to 11pm, as other reviews mention. Our plug sockets barely worked unless we propped the plug up. Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant and foyer. There was a shower head in our room, but the pressure was so low it was almost useless, so we used the cold-water Filipino-style bucket shower instead, which was perfectly practical in the heat. A car from el nido proper cost around 2000 pesos each way; we were quoted slightly less for a tuktuk. This matched what we expected from the descriptions and other reviews. If you’re ready for very basic facilities and want to unplug and relax somewhere quiet, it’s a great stay. Would recommend for unwinding.

Sibaltan feels very authentic, and the staff are super friendly. This is a wonderful place in a beautiful, untouched area close to El Nido if you want nature and a break from the crowds. You can rent a scooter to visit nearby beaches, and make sure to go to Nacpan beach. The room was very comfortable, and the restaurant serves nice food. Heavy rains meant we had to change our trip and couldn’t stay all the nights we’d booked. The owner kindly offered a refund for those nights. We loved our stay and hope to visit again, and only wish we could have stayed longer.
