Glamping at Karuna El Nido

We loved both bungalows we stayed in at Glamping At Karuna, the Honey Trap and the Glass House. Each had its own features, and both were cozy, clean, and thoughtfully put together. From the balcony, the view was stunning. Being outside the noisy, crowded town, with its sometimes unpleasant smells, felt like the right choice. The free shuttle to town and pickups at other times were easy to arrange when we asked. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going well beyond what you'd normally expect. Restaurant room service can take a little while, which is understandable, but the food was outstanding, easily the best we had in the El Nido region. Highly recommend it for comfort, views, service, and food.

The complimentary breakfast was fresh and flavorful, and a perfect start to the day. We stayed in the La Dolce Vita room at Glamping at Karuna, where the peaceful setting balanced luxury with the natural surroundings. Everyone on staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, and the service felt world-class. Getting into town was simple too, with tricycle rides readily available to and from the center for shopping and restaurants. It was easy to enjoy the quiet and privacy without feeling cut off. If you're after the sweet life, this is the place. We can't recommend Karuna highly enough.

My girlfriend and I spent two weeks in the Cocoon, and it was peaceful and magical at Karuna. The service, staff, facilities, and our time there all made us very happy. The free transportation was top notch, and reception responded quickly and made communication easy. We'd highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

The Filipino food was the highlight for me. We mostly ate Filipino dishes at breakfast and lunch, since we can get the food we eat at home in LA there. The ginataang gulay for dinner and the Daing were our favorites, and my partner was always eager to see what she'd order next. The restaurant's wait staff and bartenders were sweet and attentive, and we enjoyed having the cats around too. The drivers were wonderful, taking us between Karuna and the island-hopping tour meeting points. Our airport driver was waiting at the exit, handled our luggage right away, and answered all our many curious questions with confidence and detail. The staff at the front desk and in housekeeping, the massage therapists, and the person managing WhatsApp who handled my peculiar requests all showed Filipino hospitality and more. I'm grateful they made our stay special. We booked the spacious La Dolce Vita cabin, with lovely decor and a view from both the room and balcony that was just chef's kiss. It reminded us of Kauai, with limestone all around, almost like a lagoon. The setting on the mountainside overlooking the ocean was awe-inspiring. I'd highly recommend staying here and would book it again when we return to El Nido for tours A and B.
