House of Aice El Nido, palawan

The room is spacious and comfortable, and I’ve now stayed here three times with my girlfriend. It’s a little way from the centre, but renting a scooter sorts that out if you’re staying in el nido for a while. Once you do that, you’ll see it isn’t far at all. The caretaker and his family have always been friendly and helpful. Amazing place, amazing people!

The area is so quiet and peaceful that it made my stay really relaxing, and the Wi-Fi is very fast, which is great for remote work. Ate the caretaker was kind and helpful the whole time. Browna the dog became my best friend over the two weeks and made me feel at home. Getting here is extremely hard because it’s off the main road, but I loved my stay! ❤️

There was a huge building site just feet from the rooms, but the listing never mentioned it. The promised mountain views weren’t there, and the gardens shown in the listing were really a rubbish-filled car park. Photos don’t match what you get, so please stay well clear. The place was very dirty throughout, musty as if it hadn’t been cleaned for months. Furniture was broken, there was no TV or hot water, the lights were broken, and the sink didn’t work. I’d paid for breakfasts, only to be told they don’t do breakfast anymore.

From the second floor I could see more of the surrounding nature, and even spotted a bird I’d never seen in my life. It was a really magnificent experience, and I’ll definitely visit again when I have time. The staff were all helpful and kind. My room was nice, clean and spacious, and the bathroom was simple and clean. It’s a standard hotel, as expected, and worth the money. The price is cheap since it’s neither luxury nor bad. The swimming pool and the second building are still being made. I highly recommend this hotel.
