Hope and the other staff were really friendly and accommodating, and they even arranged our island hopping tour. The hotel was easy to get to, and our room was clean and nice. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. I’d recommend it :)

The room and toilet were very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was great, close to the beach and restaurants. There was a glitch with the system, but the owner handled it calmly and professionally. I had an awesome stay and would definitely come back. 110% recommending it.

The rooms were noisy, had no windows, and barely fit two people. The shower was right above the loo. The room itself was clean, but this was the worst stay I’ve had, even though I’m used to camping and uncomfortable accommodation. Hope de La something was an extremely rude and unhelpful host, seemed to keep trying to get money from us, and was absent when we needed help. It’s also extremely overpriced and doesn’t even have a reception. If you want a pleasant stay and a good impression of the island, I’d personally avoid this place that calls itself a hotel.

The room was clean and the shower worked well, but I wouldn’t call this a hotel. The small desk in the corridor was rarely staffed, and service was poor. At checkout, staff were rude and accused us of stealing, and they weren’t helpful. Rooms are small with little luggage space, except in the deluxe, and the bed was too short for a comfortable sleep. Towels and supplies are kept behind the rooms, exposed to humidity and not locked up. It’s very overpriced. If hostel-style accommodation suits you, it may be acceptable, but for a proper hotel I’d look elsewhere.

RUN AWAY. I’m giving one star only because zero isn’t an option. This is not a hotel. The small rooms always smelled like poop, inside and around the house. Road noise was very loud, and there were also people living around the house making noise. The service was disgusting. The owner charged us for motor bikes we thought we had rented from the shop next door. He charged extra for keeping them for 3 hours more on our last day, then we found out one of the bikes was his, though he charged us as if it came from The rental shop. During a blackout one morning, we tried to contact the owner or someone responsible, but no one replied. On our last day, my partner may have had food poisoning, and needed a toilet urgently while we waited for a taxi after checkout. The owner said there was no toilet available. We had asked for late checkout for at least one room, but he said no because people were coming. Later we saw one room was available to book that day :) Our final interaction was also bad. The owner accused us of stealing or losing the motorbike helmets, which were his, even though until then we’d been told everything came from a rental shop. The helmets were at the rental shop, and someone from there came and took everything. He could have checked his camera and seen we left them where we were supposed to. Instead, he threatened to call the police. It’s overpriced, especially the big room.
