MilanGrace Inn El Nido Palawan

The location was hard to beat, right in the center of everything, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Still, we found the accommodation expensive for its quality, and the value didn't meet our expectations. Our room had no natural light, which was disappointing. We were also promised a room with a view for at least our last night, but that didn't happen. The gap between what was promised and what we got was frustrating, and the price felt high for the stay.

The room and bathroom are quite small, which is fair enough for the price, but we only got two pillows and one very small blanket for three people over five days and four nights. It also gets pretty noisy, especially in the morning. Still, Milangrace is a nice budget option in El Nido, close to the beach and town center, with restaurants, a pharmacy, and groceries nearby. It's a perfect base for tours, and they can take care of booking them.

The sea view from the clean rooms is amazing, and the complimentary breakfast food is great. Service was so-so: it took an hour to get our room ready when we arrived, and there were occasional brownouts. They do have a loud generator.

The location is great, within walking distance of everywhere, and our island-hopping trip was fun, which helped keep our whole time in El Nido from being ruined. But my husband and I regret staying here for four days and three nights. We booked through an agency, and with other hotels full for Valentine's, we felt stuck. From check-in, the staff from the front desk to housekeeping seemed unwelcoming, unfriendly, and unprofessional. When I reported that the air-conditioning wasn't working, they gave me attitude. They kept switching it off through an electric box downstairs, so we had to keep asking them to turn it back on. Our Wi-Fi wouldn't reach the room either. They told us rudely to connect on the third floor and scan a QR code. After I raised these concerns, I heard staff making fun of me on the stairs. Maybe it was intentional, maybe not, but I could hear their conversation. They were very rude and disrespectful to guests. There were ants everywhere. The shower and bidet were rusty, and the bidet couldn't be used. The water smelled very bad. The food was okay, but portions were very small. I hope management trains the staff properly for hospitality and gets the rooms cleaned.
