Ora Beach Resort

The place itself is beautiful, but we had no hot water in the shower from the first day. We told reception three times, and each time the water only stayed hot for the first couple of minutes before turning cold. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and our room was extremely humid. Breakfast was a poor buffet for the money. It needs more variety, such as bacon, more fresh fruit, and more egg options like boiled eggs instead of only scrambled, plus cheese, charcuterie, and yogurt. We had to order cappuccinos because only brewed coffee was provided, and were charged for them. I think coffee of any kind should be included at breakfast. Maintenance and customer service need improvement, and the stay didn’t feel worth what we paid.

Ora Beach Resort is beautifully designed and tastefully done, right by the beach, and the rooms are comfortable. But the service doesn’t match the high price. We had hot water problems every day, especially mornings and evenings, and had to call reception daily to get someone to reset the system. That’s not acceptable at this price. Breakfast was poor for what we paid, and the internet was very disappointing. We changed rooms twice and still had a very weak connection or none at all. Reception staff were friendly, but often couldn’t give a clear answer when we asked for help or information. There’s potential here because of the design and location, but the service, maintenance, and breakfast need major improvement to justify the cost.

It’s a shame there are so few rooms with sea views, since most look onto the central courtyard. The location is reasonable, but breakfast was very poor. Better to go out to Blend and Grind. It was also annoying that the two of us were only given one room key, when we don’t spend all our time together.

The restaurant has a gorgeous ocean view, and breakfast was gorgeous too. But the photos had nothing to do with the “deluxe room” we booked: no balcony and the worst view I’ve ever had. After the first night, they moved us to what felt like the second-worst room in the hotel. We paid 115€/night as the best price on agoda.com and never got any compensation.
