Rodriguez Lodge

Rodriguez Lodge was a comfortable, affordable place for our two nights in El Nido. The location made it easy to explore, close to the town center but still peaceful at night. Our room was spacious, with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and everything we needed. The lodge is simple, clean, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, especially Kuya Ian, who was always ready with recommendations for things to do nearby. I'd recommend it for a clean, convenient stay at a good price.

I liked that Rodriguez Lodge was peaceful but still close to El Nido's main street, and our stay was flawless. The food was okay, though I wish the portions were bigger. The AC was quite loud, but that didn't bother me, though it could be an issue for other guests. Hope to come back soon!

The staff were all very kind and polite, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean and really nice. The AC and WiFi were excellent, and the beach is within walking distance. My only criticism is that the food portions could be bigger. Otherwise, I'd recommend this place for a comfortable stay in el NIDO.

The stairs were 30 inches high per step, which made it difficult for older people and young babies to go up and down. During heavy rain, water also leaked through the wall. The water pressure was very slow, a problem I saw mentioned in a 2019 comment too. WiFi was sometimes good and sometimes bad. Breakfast, including eggs and fish, was far too salty for us. When we asked about electricity issues, we were told there was no problem or that they didn't happen often. But during our three-day staycation, we had electricity problems three times. Please be honest about this. We were okay at first with being put in the extension building, but the smell when we arrived was unbearable to me as a Malaysian. The dog barked nonstop at people it didn't know, which made us uncomfortable going out at night or early in the morning because we didn't want to disturb other tourists. The dog's strong smell made the place feel unwelcoming whenever we left our room, and suggested poor ventilation. If you're running a business, please check things and provide better service, including basics like water and tourist safety.
