El Nido Beach by Eureka Resorts

The lack of basic privacy and comfort made this stay feel completely amateurish. The windows had no locks, and there was no door to the outside, so people could enter our private area and even get inside the room. One day, a woman came to clean the pool while I was still in my underwear with the curtains open. Another time, she walked right in while we were relaxing in the pool and called out to us. We also had no electricity or WiFi at one point, and had to drive off to find someone who could turn the power back on. The shower was only lukewarm, and after we complained we found out we’d been showering with cold water because someone hadn’t switched on the hot water since check-in. This place isn’t ready to be called a resort. There are just two model rooms being rented while construction is underway. The reception building is still only a render, with no completion date, the kitchen is in a construction container, and the beach bar and restaurant are a small hut. The women working there tried their best, but the service and operation were tremendously amateurish. A resort shouldn’t open without its basic facilities running and a trained team. I hope they can bring their vision to life, but opening in this state makes it seem like they don’t know what they’re doing. The level of hospitality they’re aiming for is beyond their abilities. It’s sad to see the potential wasted, and I think it’s heading for total failure and bankruptcy.
