Sophia's Beach Guest House

The view from the lobby and deck was spectacular, with waves lapping almost at your feet. It’s a very picturesque spot. The guest house is about 5K from the main square and downtown, so having our own transport was useful, especially for me as a larger person taking a tricycle cab. The staff made us a nicely cooked breakfast and helped arrange delivery. They also organized an in-room massage that helped with my back pain. Service was excellent, and the Wi-Fi in the room was inconsistent. The place has a bed-and-breakfast feel, but our room was small, with a cramped bathroom and especially tight shower. It was right beside the lobby and reception desk, a few steps from cold drinks and snacks.

Breakfast served on the porch was delicious, and the beachfront view was breathtaking. I had an amazing time relaxing by the ocean. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to help, and they went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The stay felt comfortable and stress free. I highly recommend this resort for the beautiful views and welcoming service.

The rooms were clean, with hot water and AC, and everything we needed for a good stay. It was very good value for money, with a beautiful beach view and a great location. The staff were helpful, and they offer kayaks free of charge, which was thoughtful since several lovely remote beaches are reachable by sea.

We really liked the quieter, more relaxed setting of Sophia’s Beach House compared with El Nido town, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout. The first room did have some problems: its window faced the indoor common area where breakfast is served, so it didn’t feel private and we couldn’t leave the window open without other guests looking in. It was noisy, too, and the shower pressure was very low. The staff kindly moved us to another room for the second night, which we appreciated. The location and service were wonderful, though the room setup could be better.
