A Place to Remember El Nido Palawan

Getting breakfast meant climbing the steps to the top floor, but the view through the windows was fantastic. The breakfast was great to have each morning, and I believe they cook a fresh plate for each person. Staff were super nice, even helping us deal with a spider we were too chicken to handle. Our room was a little small, but had everything we needed. They fit three beds in there, so each of us had our own, which was nice. The location is very central and basically two steps from the beach. It's in a pedestrian area where Tuktuks can't go because vehicles are prohibited. The walk isn't far, but I'd avoid bringing large luggage.

The staff were so helpful and always made room for what we needed. The three small dogs there add a bit of extra charm, too. Thanks for taking us in! It's a hidden gem in central El Nido. From outside it doesn't look like a hotel, but the rooms are incredibly comfortable. Room 9 has excellent sea views. After checking out four different places, we got the best rate and better service here.

The location is great, and the rooms are designed with beach views, which I liked. But there was no elevator, so taking luggage up to the third floor was difficult. The owners didn't apologize and sent me to agoda, refusing to admit the rooms couldn't be used. When agoda got involved, they agreed to cancel without a penalty. The place could have potential if the cleaning and room maintenance improve. I checked into room 10 and found stained sheets and an unflushed, clogged toilet. After about 30 minutes of trying to fix it, they moved us to room 16. That room hadn't been cleaned either: the previous guest had left used nipple pads in the shower, and its broken faucet wasn't giving any water. At that point I decided to cancel.

I picked it for the unusual name and good location, and was glad I did. I stayed for three nights. The staff were helpful, and the owner is a friendly medical doctor. Breakfast is served on the fifth floor, with a view of the beach and the ferry, which is separate from the hotel but only about 100 m away. The room Wi-Fi was slow, but otherwise I had no complaints.
