Ferra Resort Siargao

The view from Ferra Resort's beachfront is what I keep thinking about: white sand, calm water, and open island scenery in Malinao. We spent hours taking it in and enjoying the quiet. Our beach kubo was only steps from the sea, cozy and peaceful, and worked well for us as a couple and with our 19-year-old son. We requested an extra bed for him, which made things more comfortable. The rooms and facilities were clean, and the staff were warm enough that we felt at home straight away. We found the stay much better value than many nearby resorts we considered overrated, without giving up comfort or the experience. Ferra Resort has become our favorite place in Siargao, and we'll return whenever we're there.

Big thanks to Hariel, jesa and Julia. They were professional, always smiling, and found solutions for us, even over messages. The sea-facing rooms have a lot of charm and are peaceful, clean, and well kept. The air conditioning works and gets cold, and the pool is nice. We had no mosquitoes and no cockroaches in our room, which was a pleasant surprise, since that's not true of every hotel on the island. Ferra Resort isn't tucked away in the forest. It was easy to rent scooters directly from the hotel staff at the same price as in town, which took some stress out of getting around the island. Having massages in the room was another plus, especially being able to go straight to sleep afterward. Next door, Lagkaw beach bar has a relaxed atmosphere and a nice sunset view.

We loved the white sand beach right outside the resort. The staff were warm and attentive, and our villa was spacious and clean. Sound carried through the walls, though, possibly because of the materials, and the construction happening during our stay in April 2025 made it more noticeable. We also woke to dogs barking, which might not have bothered us as much with better soundproofing. Downtown is about 20 minutes away, so renting a motorcycle makes more sense than hiring a tricycle. The stay was okay overall.

When our flights were canceled by the typhoon, the staff helped us through a really stressful situation. Even after checkout, they let us stay overnight somewhere safe. They offered to buy food and cook for us, helped us contact the airport, and did what they could to support us. Their patience, kindness, and hospitality meant a lot. The hotel itself is simple, comfortable, lovely, and well located. The people working there are what really stood out to us. We're deeply grateful and would highly recommend it.
