Payag Suites

Our flight was rescheduled because of the weather, so I asked Payag Suites to cancel our stay. I sent several emails and got no reply, no refund, nothing. Their lack of communication and customer service was appalling. I'm kicking myself for not reading the reviews before booking. There is a long list of negative feedback, and now I'm adding mine. Don't waste your money or time here. Find somewhere else. Zero stars, would not recommend.

Our airport transfers went smoothly, which made getting in and out of Siargao stress-free. Breakfast was another thoughtful touch: we chose the night before and it was hot and freshly made the next morning. We stayed in the Daku Room, which was spacious, with very comfortable beds and cold AC that helped us sleep after long days exploring. The water heater worked, though we'd have liked the water a little hotter. We were first put in a newly painted room, and since we have asthma and allergic rhinitis, we told the staff about the paint smell. They moved us to another room right away, without hesitation, and were kind and considerate throughout our stay. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made sure we were comfortable. We had a smooth, enjoyable visit and would choose Payag Suites again next time we're in Siargao.

The staff made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. They're exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained. The property is convenient too, along General Luna and about 1 km from the town proper. Highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable, which was about the only good point. Make sure you book one of the refurbished rooms, otherwise!!! Even the brewed coffee machine wasn't working.
