I was disappointed by how little the stay felt like a 5-star experience for the price. The hotel looks attractive, but the amenities and service didn’t meet that expectation. My corner room was spacious, with a large bed, and the bedding was clean, but basic. I’ve had better sheets and pillows at an Airbnb in Iloilo. The pillows were flat, the towels were basic, and there were only two. No hand towels or bath mat were in the room, though perhaps you can request them. The small pampering touches I expect at a 5-star hotel were missing. There were no robes, and the hair dryer was extremely loud with almost no airflow. The towels for drying hair and the slippers were the lowest quality I’ve had at a 5-star hotel. I booked a hotel massage expecting it to meet the same standards. The therapist came after 3:00 PM for ventosa (cupping) and a one-hour foot reflexology session, then finished at 4:20 PM. I wasn’t watching the clock closely, but it was clear the service had been shortened. Hotels should take more care choosing providers who are allowed into guest rooms. I’d heard good things about The Granary. I skipped breakfast because I was told fruit was the only gluten-free option, so I can’t speak to the full buffet. I was also surprised there was no made-to-order egg station, something I’m used to at most 4- and 5-star hotels. At dinner, only one gluten-free dish was available, even though I’d been told dietary needs could be accommodated. If you want to splurge on a basic place to sleep, this might do, but it didn’t deliver the 5-star stay I expected.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained, and the service is above average. We were always greeted, and the front desk handled requests well. The downtown Iloilo location is okay, though this part is more of a suburban stretch of businesses and condominiums, mostly owned by Megaworld. What let us down were the restaurant, bar, and venue. You pay a bit more, but the bar doesn’t open until after 4 PM, and they won’t serve liquor in the restaurant. Many menu items seem to be unavailable most of the time: salmon, the wine being promoted, chicken, beef, or some combination of them. Water isn’t offered, and staff tend to seat parties right next to each other. I like the Richmonde, but this branch feels like the smaller, more limited sibling of the others we’ve stayed at.

I especially liked how handy the location was, close to Megaworld and Festive Walk and within easy reach of restaurants, malls, and other places. The hotel and room were nice, with a good gym and pool, and breakfast was good too. I’d recommend staying here.

The hotel sits across from the convention centre and just steps from a big mall with loads of food choices. They even have free coffee in the lobby in the morning if you haven’t paid for breakfast, and there’s a Starbucks across the road too. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and pillows are comfy, and the showers have the best water pressure I’ve ever had. The pool is lovely, a little cool but refreshing. I have zero complaints, it was perfect 👌🏽

The location is handy, with restaurants, cafes, malls, and nightlife close by, either on foot or a short ride away. Breakfast choices are decent value. Some guests mention that noise carries in certain areas during busy periods, but overall it seems like one of Iloilo’s more dependable mid-range hotels for both short and longer visits. Guests generally describe the rooms as clean, modern, and well kept, with reliable air conditioning, good water pressure, and solid Wi-Fi. The beds are often called comfortable, and the calm feel makes it easy to rest after a full day in the city. Staff are friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout are usually smooth.
