Ilocos Urban Wave Resort Hotel

The pool and wave pool were a big hit with both the kids and adults at our son's “Boss Baby” birthday celebration. The food looked good and tasted great, and the staff stayed friendly and professional throughout. Trisha, the manager, made planning easy: she listened to what we wanted, took care of the details, and was very accommodating. Booking was straightforward, and the venue was clean and nicely set up when we arrived. The whole event came together smoothly, and the team made us feel welcome. Urban Wave Resort brought together thoughtful preparation and a lot of fun. We’d recommend it.

The food was carefully prepared and really good, and the rooms felt cozy as well as very clean. I enjoyed the place overall. It has a warm, fun atmosphere, and I’d recommend it to others.

We spent seven nights here, but the service didn’t justify the price. Guests renting cottages for the day, especially families with children, might enjoy it more. Hotel guests, including people staying for a longer stretch, seemed to get very little attention. For anyone hoping to relax, I’d suggest staying somewhere else. The room wasn’t cleaned even with the “please make up the room” sign out. Staff told us to ask directly, but that didn’t help either. Loud pop and techno music played all day. It was already on at 9:00 a.m. the first morning, after we’d arrived late the night before. I asked for the volume to be lowered and brought it up several more times over the next few days. One staff member acknowledged my complaint, but nothing changed, and the receptionist brushed it off. This felt more like a pool with rooms than a resort. The stay was disappointing and not worth what we paid.

If you’re hoping for a quiet, romantic break where you can read and relax, I wouldn’t stay here. It suits families who want to spend time at a pool resort better. We’d hoped to enjoy the place, but the music and poor service made that impossible. It felt like being at a children’s birthday party around the clock. The noise starts around 9 a.m. with loud music for the pool guests and goes on until about 9 p.m. From the hotel rooms, it was enough to wake you up. Horns, whistles, and the wave pool engine added to the constant racket. There was nowhere peaceful to sit. Our room was okay and the AC worked well, but ants were in both the room and bathroom. For most of our weeklong stay, the shower either had no water or only cold water. Service was the worst we’ve experienced at a hotel or resort. Room cleaning and replenishing water, coffee, and drinks happened only if we asked, and we had to ask every day. The bar and restaurant sometimes had no food or drinks when we asked, even though we could see drinks available. We saw many guests told to go elsewhere for food and drink supplies. And if they’re going to play music that loud, they should upgrade to Spotify Premium.
