Shangri-La The Fort, Manila

The rooms were spacious, in good condition, and had complete amenities. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of food too. We worked on a wedding with the Shangrila Fort banquets team last weekend, and they made the job easy. Mr Val and Ms Fiam and the rest of the team worked hard to make the event go well. They were reliable and responsible. Mr Val offered useful suggestions about the flow and assured me the servers would be ready. When we needed envelopes for the registration table, Ms Fiam was very accommodating and went out of her way to help. The servers were attentive and clearly trained for this kind of function. I highly recommend holding an event at this hotel.

The gym was one of the nicest I’ve used, at a hotel or anywhere else. It had lots of cardio machines, a full basketball court, a jacuzzi, every free weight, and plenty of other gym equipment. The breakfast buffet was varied and lovely, and the fancy latte was very well made. After a long trip, this felt like such a treat. The lobby was beautiful and the service was fantastic. One thing I wish had been explained beforehand: New Lounge (lashes) is technically inside the Spa area, but it’s a separate company, so it doesn’t count toward the hotel bill or property credit.

Kerry Sports Manila added a lot to our stay. We could swim, work out, or just unwind there, and the fitness and wellness facilities felt world-class. The food was consistently excellent, and we looked forward to the broad, high-quality breakfast selection each morning. The hotel’s Bonifacio Global City location was handy, with restaurants, shops, and walkable areas just steps away. Inside, it still felt calm and relaxing. Our room was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed that gave us restful nights. From arrival onward, the staff made us feel welcome with warm, attentive service that felt personal and effortless. We had a memorable stay at Shangri-La The Fort, BGC, and it set a very high bar for future visits. We loved it enough that we’re already planning to book again when we’re back in the Philippines.

The rooms were great, the food was very good, and the cafe staff, including the people at the cheese and bread area, were friendly. So the stay was still good overall, even though breakfast service could have been more attentive. We were seated by the lounge area after facing long lines, and my scrambled eggs never arrived. The coffee order was duplicated, and we had to ask for milk, sugar, and a glass of water, which I think are basic things for a hotel breakfast at Shangrila. We stayed over Valentine’s weekend. Our bags took more than 20 minutes to arrive after check-in, and we were rushing to a dinner reservation. They only came after two follow-ups.
