VYBE Hotel

My friends and I stayed here as part of a tour package to Ilocos booked through a travel agency, and we had a great experience. The staff responded to our needs right away. The room had a comfy bed, hot and cold shower, air-conditioning and a TV, plus free breakfast with coffee and juice. Guests can also use the hot and cold water dispenser anytime, day or night. It’s a cozy hotel and worth a stay if you’re visiting Ilocos. 👍👍👍 😊

We were moved after checking in because they told us a few minutes later that we’d been given the wrong room. One receptionist was okay, but the shower was cold, and the bathroom layout felt awkward and unsafe. The floor was slippery, with no bath mat or toiletries provided. They called us before 8 am about breakfast, which we didn’t like because it was too cold. It was a really bad experience, and I was very disappointed. The hotel has potential, but management needs to address the complaints, especially about cold breakfast. It’s cheap, so I can’t complain too much, but there’s a lot to improve. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

The cozy Scandinavian interior and helpful staff made a good first impression, and my parents’ room was new and clean. Some rooms, though, didn’t seem well maintained. We stayed in one new room on the first night, with bedding that had several layers of blankets, but the bathroom was tiny with no divider between the shower and toilet. It also smelled like a sewer. We asked to change rooms for the second night. The next room had been renovated, but its bathroom was old and had neither a bidet nor a faucet, so we had to fill a pail from the shower. After using it, I saw a red worm swimming in the water. I’d suggest asking for a room in the middle, nearest the concierge.

The hotel looks nice, the staff were accommodating, and the food was good, which is why I gave it four stars. When we first entered our room, though, there was an odd smell, like a clogged drain. We left the door open for a few minutes.
