The showers were only lukewarm, and street noise made it hard to sleep at night. Those are minor issues, though. The staff were the best I’ve come across at any hotel. The Cafe downstairs was so helpful, and the kitchen staff were angels. Special mention to Donesa, who adopted our beloved rescue puppy before we left the Philippines. The location is great for airport business.

There’s a lot of traffic on the street outside during the day, and not much nearby except an outlet on the next street. Across the street, there’s a place that does laundry, and the massage spa next door is nice and relaxing. The hotel itself is nice, with decent rooms and wonderful employees. The AC gets cold, and Wi-Fi is fast enough to stream movies on the good-sized TV. The gym is small but decent, with a maximum weight of 50lbs. The showers were lukewarm with low pressure, and the beds were very firm and somewhat uncomfortable. Airport shuttle pickup is convenient.

The hotel is otherwise very pleasant and nice, and I would have given it four stars. But when I checked into Room 103 on February 1, the king bed sheet was wrinkled and had a black hair on it, so it clearly hadn’t been changed from the previous guest. The pillowcases were okay. Reception acknowledged the issue, but there was no manager available on Sunday, and on Monday the manager was on holiday. Staff took photos at my request. This was a serious hygiene lapse. I may give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and return, but future guests should check the bedding.

This hotel works for a stay before or after a flight, but the room smelled moldy, and neither the crosstrainer nor the bicycle worked. I gave it one star because they wouldn’t accept my cancellation when a storm meant I couldn’t get to Cebu.
