Jiji's Hostel

The staff were polite and very kind, and the rate was so cheap and affordable that I didn’t expect nightly prices like this to still exist. The place was near Mactan Cebu, and the air-conditioned room and bathroom were clean. The photo was taken before checkout. For management to consider, a hot shower would be helpful after a tiring day of activities. Also, please check routinely for bed bugs. We booked room no. 4, but couldn’t sleep because of itching and insect bites, and the beds and blankets were very itchy. Our friends in room no. 5 slept soundly.

The employees were really nice, and there were lots of Grab cars available quickly in the area. It’s about a five-minute drive from the airport and a ten-minute walk from a well-equipped mall. There isn’t much to do at the hostel, but it works well for a quick stop before a flight.

The owners were welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were squeaky clean. Restaurants were within walking distance, and the airport was walkable too. Sightseeing spots were around a 1-2 hour drive away.

The only trouble I had was with the outlets. I had both EU and US plugs, but my charger kept slipping out, so I charged my things in the common area instead. The lockers have small holes, so bring a wire lock. Otherwise, it was comfortable, the reception was friendly, and the AC worked great. There’s also a nice chill area outside, and the location is good.
