K Mansionette

We appreciated that the host let us check in at 10 am, but the location meant dealing with heavy traffic whenever we went anywhere. We had to dodge motorbikes, motorellas, and cars while breathing dust and fumes. The room and bed were okay, though the synthetic sheets made us sweat at bedtime. Wi-Fi was extremely patchy and often below 100 Kbps, not Mbps, so getting anything done online took ages. The room smelled musty or moldy whenever we came back because the bathroom fan couldn't be left running. Noise was a problem throughout the day: reception's doorbell, staff chatting with guests and on the phone, kids yelling, loud videos, and what sounded like dishes being washed in the outside kitchen at 6:30. Voices there were loud, almost screams, and a water pump seemed to start up every now and then. In the morning, furniture seemed to scrape across the floor upstairs. Reception noise started around 6:30 and continued past midnight.

I first stayed here three years ago when noisy construction at my house made it hard to sleep, and I came back for the same reason recently. Since I work nights, I needed somewhere to sleep in the daytime. The rooms are affordable and gave me the quiet I needed to rest without distractions. The internet was fast enough for my work tasks, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I hope the service and amenities stay as they are. Wishing the business more success.

We stayed one night before going to the airport, and it was very good value for the money. Beds were a little small, but that was fine for a single night. There's an excellent Japanese restaurant next door.
