Karancho Beach House

A casual, budget-friendly spot on the coast in central Lapu-Lapu, near other attractions and services. It has direct access to a private beach area for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the sun and sea views. You can book day use or stay overnight. It’s often used for beach outings, picnics, parties, and gatherings, with a laid-back feel and cottages by the shore for groups, families, or friends.

The villa cost ₱8000 pesos for six people, and I thought that was already too much. If you go over the limit, they charge ₱1000 for another bed, even if it’s one you touch in the room you rented. There are so many policies and extra charges: bringing a speaker costs extra, and using a butane stove means paying too. You have to cook in the parking lot, even though they have a grilling area, and we weren’t allowed to use our own stove there. It’s hard to relax when every little thing costs more. This was the worst resort for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The beach is tiny and crowded, and there’s nothing special about it to justify the price. Even taking a shower after swimming costs extra, which felt greedy for such a basic service. The entrance fee and other charges seemed far too high for what the resort offers. The guards spoke to us rudely and acted like they owned the place. They were disrespectful to paying guests and didn’t know how to speak to visitors properly. The other staff were rude and unhelpful too, and nobody showed basic courtesy or made us feel welcome. The whole place seemed poorly managed and maintained. No one listened to complaints or apologized. I was extremely angry and disappointed after our visit last night. This was one of the worst resort experiences I’ve had. I regret going, won’t return, and will share what happened so other people know. I’d advise staying elsewhere. The staff attitude, guards, pricing, and basic services all need major changes before guests will stop being disappointed.

By 2 AM we couldn’t find another option, so we stayed and opened every window, hoping the night flies wouldn’t get us. We had tried three rooms, but K6 felt like a dry sauna, K7 was like a furnace, and K8 was still unbearably hot. We complained after the first room and were offered the next one. We gave it another chance, but moving again didn’t help. We booked on 04/25/2026. I absolutely would not recommend this place.
