For the price, I was surprised by how clean and comfortable the room was. You get your own space and bathroom, though there’s no hot water, which I could accept. I walked in to book, and the hostel sign is hard to spot, but you can call the number listed here and staff will come meet you. I took the photos on checkout since I forgot when I arrived. I needed one more night and asked the guy who helped me, and luckily a room was still available. Definitely recommend it in Cebu.

There’s a BBQ restaurant about a minute’s walk away, and the location worked perfectly for our early flight. The room was clean, with a nice bathroom and a tiny kitchen that has a fridge. Our taxi struggled to find Mactan hostel, but it’s just past the main gate along a narrow path.

After the typhoon hit Cebu, we had a rough night trying to find somewhere to stay, and arrived very late after having trouble booking other rooms. Caretaker Winston was incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and it was exactly what we needed. Thank you, Winston and Mactan Hostel! Bangon Cebu! I love my hometown.

The owner is really nice, and the room was clean and quiet, except for some roosters in the morning 😄. It’s also very close to the airport and great value for the money.

We came back for a second stay, first booking through Agoda and then contacting the owner directly. Both visits were excellent. It’s close to the airport and set in a peaceful neighborhood away from busy streets, while the owner is kind and accommodating. The room has everything needed, including an induction cooker, water heater, mini fridge, and a small minibar area. The bed was very comfortable. It felt more like a cozy studio condo than a usual hostel. The only thing I missed was a bidet. Otherwise, it was perfect, and I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, easy stay in Lapu-Lapu City.
