The resort was in poor shape, with very dirty rooms and a dirty pool. They also added charges and said the booking apps had the wrong information. We’d booked and paid the night before, then traveled for over three hours expecting a room, but there wasn’t one when we arrived. We ended up having to find another resort nearby, which made an already disappointing trip even more of a hassle.

The pool at the center of the resort is really nice, and the place is tucked away, so there weren’t many people around. It seems good for a family or a group of friends. When my cousins and I visited, though, renovations were still going on. The main problem was all the flies buzzing around. We couldn’t cook or eat properly, though we wondered if it might have been seasonal.

Getting there was a little tricky, but the trip was worth it. The food was amazing, especially the really fresh seafood. We also loved the view, the trips to Fortune Islands and the other islands, and the fish sanctuaries and other beach spots. Bring some bread for the fish!

The igloos have room for at least one family. The setting is unusual too, since the beach is in a mangrove area and the water recedes as night gets close.

The room and bathroom looked dirty in the pictures, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We had to ask twice to get it fixed. There were bugs everywhere too, from mosquitoes to ants and flies. The pool was so dirty and blurry looking that most visitors seemed to avoid swimming. The booking photos are a long way from what you actually get. Really disappointing.
