My kids had a great time at the Easter event, and we enjoyed it as parents too. The only thing I’d suggest for next year is letting guardians join the egg hunt so the whole family can take part. The volunteers were attentive, everything felt thoughtfully planned, and the welcoming atmosphere gave families room to connect and make memories. Even the quiet moments watching the exotic animals added to the sense of hope and renewal. Thanks to everyone who put so much heart into the day.

The golf course is beautiful, and the rooms are affordable. Most staff were pleasant and helpful, especially in the rooms and restaurants. Grace at reception was particularly accommodating and handled things really well. The problem was paying for golf at the cashier. We had poor service there on both days, so it didn’t feel like a one-off. Shanly came across as rude and unhelpful, which was a sharp change from the warm service elsewhere. Restaurants also close quite early, so there are few dining or activity options at night.

A peaceful spot with lovely views of the golf course and its greenery. We ate at Sandtrap Cafe and Restaurant, where you need a reservation. I tried the Lomi with Bagnet, along with pastries and coffee. The restaurant has a homey feel.

We liked the resort enough to add another night after checking in for our second wedding anniversary. It looked beautiful and relaxing at first, but the food changed the experience for us. At both restaurants, meals were greasy, burnt or cold, and overpriced. There wasn’t much choice, which would be especially hard for anyone with dietary restrictions. We were still hungry and so dissatisfied by the last night that we left before our scheduled checkout. The corkage fee policy also caught us by surprise because it hadn’t been clearly explained at check-in. If we’d known, we wouldn’t have extended our stay. The place is lovely, but those meals and unclear policy took away from what should’ve been a memorable anniversary.

The venue was beautiful, and the Easter celebration was a fun family event. The egg hunt kept everyone engaged, and there were animal interactions and festive decorations too. Staff were friendly, and there were good food options. It was well organized and memorable. I’ll look forward to more events at Mount Malarayat.
