Kingsleys Hotel and Gastro Pub

The staff I met were all very polite, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my three days here. The room was very spacious and the air-conditioning was strong.

I found Kingsleys hotel by chance when I needed a last-minute overnight in Clark. Being inside Clark was convenient, and there’s a fast food place and coffee shop just outside, plus a lobby bar and restaurant in the hotel. The staff were very helpful. My room was good, with bottled water, tea and coffee, reliable internet, and a clean, comfortable bed. I had a comfortable night. The drawback is that there’s no lift to the second or third floor, so it isn’t accessible for wheelchair guests or people who have trouble with stairs.

The bar looks nicely decorated, but there’s no atmosphere, and the staff weren’t attentive.

I chose this hotel because it’s close to my races, though I’ve stayed a couple of times before and the facilities and service weren’t the best. Last month, we seemed to be the only guests for the weekend, so I asked politely for a late checkout, at most until 1pm. They still said they’d charge PhP200 (USD 4) for every hour after the 12NN checkout. That was disappointing on our fourth stay. Worse, housekeeping was knocking and asking us to leave by 11:30AM, rushing guests out of what seemed like an empty hotel. I might have overlooked the sub-par amenities, but the service bothered me. You’re better off at one of the newer nearby hotels.
