Anilao Awari Bay Resort

The bay views are stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere at Anilao Awari Bay Resort makes it a great place to unwind. Our room and the grounds were generally clean and well maintained. We did have a leak in the bathroom, but otherwise everything was good. A nice spot to relax.

I've lost count of how many times I've visited Awari Bay Anilao with different groups of friends and family, and I'm still happy to come back. Everyone, from the front desk to the restaurant and beach staff, is so kind and quick to help with whatever we need. The rooms are worth the price, the food is delicious, and I honestly have nothing bad to say. Thanks to the whole team for making our stays memorable. I brought my tourists here for a diving experience in 2023 after they requested this resort. It's beautifully situated right on the beach, but the management and service were very disappointing, especially the receptionists. The instructors didn't teach or explain things well. One seemed to expect me to learn as quickly as he wanted, but I couldn't follow the way he gave instructions, and they didn't do a good job. I wasn't given the space my tourists needed, including a room where we could leave our things or a comfortable air-conditioned room for the day. We waited a long time to get started, sitting outside in the heat with our bags and belongings piled around us. The entrance fee, diving, and food were all very expensive. I felt unwelcome bringing my tourists to use the beach and facilities, and as a tour guide who sends clients there, I didn't receive any consideration. I paid a lot but didn't get what I paid for, and felt ripped off. There were drinks but no welcoming snacks. The resort and beach are as beautiful as they look, but the management was just as bad. My tourists were friendly and good-hearted, fortunately. This place seems suited to vacation homes, not tourists.

We had a Bayfront room on our second stay, which suited us because we were right by the water. The position is incredible, the views are breathtaking, and the water is superb. You can snorkel or dive straight off the beach, though the snorkeling gear costs extra to hire, so bring your own if you have it. I did a scuba dive this time, and full points to my dive master. The resort is clean, beautifully designed, and well maintained. Family-size food portions are generous, often enough for two meals for the two of us. Breakfast was included in our package, but drinks and coffee cost extra. Water pressure was strong, there was lots of hot water, and Wi-Fi worked well throughout. A couple of things I'd add to the room are bedside lamps and towel racks in the bathroom. It would also help to keep the room service menu in the room, so staff don't have to bring it down each time we want to order. We'll definitely return.
