I gave up the included breakfast because they said my visitor meant it counted as part of the extra charge. In the end I paid 2,000 pesos. The attendant also assumed I’d only paid ₱699, even though my Agoda booking was over ₱1,000. I was charged extra for a visitor who didn’t stay overnight. I was told there was no charge if the massage therapist came from the hotel, but an outside therapist meant a fee, even for a single room. That policy feels contradictory, especially since the visitor was there for only an hour or two. They do have visitor rules, but the attendant didn’t explain things properly. This was frustrating and unprofessional. Edited: They replied and seem to be trying to make themselves look clean after poor service. An internal investigation? What the heck.

For a solo traveler like me, this was budget friendly and worth booking for the first time. The amenities were complete and there was Wi-Fi too. It was very clean, especially the bathroom.

The quiet atmosphere and professional staff stood out during my four nights at Amax Inn. I also liked the free breakfast each morning. Restaurants, 7-Eleven and other convenience stores, public transport, and a laundromat are all a short walk away. I arrived after 10 PM on my first visit to Manila, but check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had what I needed to relax. I was genuinely satisfied, and thought Amax Inn was good value and a convenient, comfortable place to stay in Manila.

There are lots of local businesses nearby, and it’s close to downtown. You can buy extra breakfast items if you need them. The breakfast might disappoint you if you like a hearty meal, though. I’d never seen a one egg omelet before staying at Amex inn, Makati. Still, I’d stay again 😋

I was just testing the place out, so I chose the cheapest room for my four day booking. The room made sense for what it cost, and even though they set rules, people don’t always follow them, which is okay. I really enjoyed my stay. The free breakfast each day was one of the best parts, with a good selection. I’d recommend it to friends for short term stays.
