Festive Hotel Makati

A basic, old boutique hotel. The room is basic too, so I’d recommend it for people on the go who don’t plan to spend much time hanging out in their room.

The room photos must have been taken just after furnishing, because everything now looks very dated. We were on the second floor, but our room had no window. The bathroom window was sealed, so there was no natural light and the view was just a wall. The curtains looked like they hadn’t been washed in ages. The neighborhood wasn’t pleasant, and we found cockroaches in the room. When we told the staff, they mentioned bug spray, but it never arrived and nobody seemed concerned. The very old air conditioner broke on our second night. Even when it worked, it was extremely noisy and didn’t cool the room well. I know you can’t expect much at a low price, but this was too much. There’s a lot to be disappointed about. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I won’t return.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at. The staff were unfriendly, and there was noise from 6 am to 9 pm. Don’t waste your money.

The lack of windows and the air conditioner, which was so loud I couldn't sleep for even an hour, made the room miserable. There was no daily cleaning, fresh towels, or toiletries included in the rental. The photos don't show what it's really like: everything was filthy and sticky, and the dirt was disgusting. It didn't feel like a three-star hotel, or even a two-star or one-star place. The hotel calls itself three-star, but I felt misled. It's also in a very dangerous neighborhood, and definitely not in Makati. I wouldn't spend a minute of my holiday there, even at this price.
