Saint Illians Inn

2024 update: Still a great place for me whenever I want to eat in little Tokyo or go to makati central Square Market or Walter Mart. The location and staff are great, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s clean and comfy, and I can’t think of anything to complain about except the lack of an elevator. The front desk and other staff were super friendly and helpful, and they carried all our bags upstairs. They’ve got tons of DVDs to borrow and watch in your room. It’s a good place to stay, and I’ll definitely be back.

It’s an old hotel, but still somewhat properly maintained. The main selling point is the cheap price, especially if you go by the hourly rate. I also like that it’s tucked into a residential area, so things feel private and discreet, while still being within walking distance of a mall and several shops and restaurants.

After spending the day dealing with metro traffic, it was a good place to get a proper night's sleep, especially for people in town on business. It felt very secure, the shower had hot water, and the AC worked perfectly. The only thing that bothered me was being asked for a DVD disc they said I had borrowed, when I hadn't. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

The restaurant costs more than it's worth, and the staff couldn't communicate in English. The DVDs are a waste of time too since they don't work. At least the place is quiet, and the bed and pillows are fantastic. I also liked the liquid soap dispensers.
