I booked again on June 4, 2026, probably for the seventh time, and things still haven’t improved. The bedding and towels are worn, stained, or ripped. The front desk and lobby are too small and get crowded at check-in and checkout, and the check-in process is always slow for me. The same female staff member who was abrasive and rude during an earlier visit checked me in again. She was disrespectful again, as usual. Management should retrain her in customer service and appropriate behaviour. I’ve read plenty of other negative reviews about rude staff, too. If the issue stays unresolved, replacing them may be necessary, or loyal repeat guests could be lost.

The room was the biggest problem. Ants and mosquitoes kept appearing even though the windows stayed shut, and ants crawled out of a small hole in the bathroom wall. I’d stayed at three hotels in the Philippines and hadn’t had trouble with the sheets at the others, but after this stay I had rashes all over my body. I attached a photo of one part of my body. The air conditioner was a huge, very loud fan machine. Service was just enough to get through check-in and checkout. In my opinion, this part of Makati felt sketchy, and I wouldn’t recommend walking around there as a woman or with kids. The hotel’s one advantage is being close to the airport, but it isn’t kid friendly and didn’t feel like a 3-star hotel to me. I’d spend the extra $5 a night on a more decent budget place.

The room had a leak, which made an already unpleasant arrival worse. The receptionist was rude and dismissive, with no warmth or professionalism, and the interaction made us feel like an inconvenience instead of welcome guests. I won’t book here again.

We had a restful night in a cozy, clean, comfortable room with all the in-room amenities we needed. My companion and I used the bath towels, but only one face towel. We had to check out early, though we tidied the room before leaving. Checkout took a disappointing turn when staff said there were two small blood stains on the used face towel. They showed us a photo from the cleaning staff and asked for a Php150.00 cleaning fee. Neither of us had wounds, acne, or anything else that could have caused bleeding, so we wondered whether the marks had already been there and gone unnoticed until then. We also questioned whether this was a legitimate concern or possibly an "extra hustle" on their part. Whose blood would it have been? We had a long day ahead, so we paid the Php150.00 and moved on, but it left a bad impression. I’m sharing this as a heads-up to check everything before and after using the room. We did appreciate how comfortable and clean the place was, but hope management reviews the checkout incident more carefully.

The best part of my stay at Sans Hotel was the location just outside Makati CBD. There are carinderias nearby, plus a 7/11 and more food options a little farther away. The elevator was quick and easy to use, housekeeping did a good job, and the guards were attentive. Salamat 🤍 My studio room experience was only so-so, though. I spotted a few small cockroaches in the kitchen when I arrived, and even beside the bed where I slept. There was also a noticeable funky smell in both the room and lobby at times. I’m not sure if it came from the mop water or the diffuser/air freshener.
