The room was nice and the price made it okay, I guess. Still, it smelled stuffy, probably because there was no window to air it out. The water smelled too, so I'd use bottled mineral water to brush my teeth. There was a hole in the shower hose, and the water came out slowly. You get what you pay for.

It was late and the hotel is in a sketchy area, so I didn't have much choice and had to spend the night there. The whole thing was frustrating and stressful. The front desk refused to check me in and made me cancel and book again because they couldn't take cards. I didn't have enough cash for the full amount plus the PP 1500 deposit, and ended up paying a higher rate than my original booking.

For a tight budget, this place worked for me. I had several emergencies that weekend, but needed somewhere to stay while getting hair and makeup ready for a wedding at 4am the next day. I was going to be up until late and back in the city over the next two days. Don't expect a five-star hotel, but I had security, privacy, and comfort. I didn't sleep the first night because I was sewing my gown, and the desk came in handy as a workstation all night. I was exhausted after several days, and they kindly gave me a wake-up call since I had to get up early for the next two days. Jollibee is within walking distance, so I could still eat, and there was WiFi, a kitchen, a private bathroom, and furniture to set my bags on. The AC was a little noisy. The streets were quite dark but felt safe and peaceful, with nearby dorms and locals busy doing laundry and other things. I wouldn't use the room for recording, calls, or meetings. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I've stayed here every time I'm in Manila. It's perfectly placed between BGC and Makati, in a local area with cheap food and nice people. The employees are especially welcoming and hospitable. The rooms are spacious and clean. I'd recommend it to budget travelers who want decent rooms.
