Green Ridge Apartelle

The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the location was perfect. Very good value for money!

The location is the only good thing. The rooms are very old, unclean, and moldy, and the price isn’t worth it.

I chose this 'apartelle' because it was near the Capitol Grounds, where I had a sport event to attend. I’d reserved a week ahead and asked for the cheapest room, quoted at Php850 per night. The attendant still misspelled my surname after I spelled it out on the phone. When I arrived, I saw a much cheaper 'Standard' room was available, but it hadn’t been offered. I let that go. My 'Deluxe' room had no ceiling light or phone, and I had to stand on a chair to switch the air-con on or off. I ignored those issues too. But sleeping was a hassle in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon’s very cold climate, with only a single sheet blanket provided. It’s standard to sandwich a fleece blanket between two cotton blankets. I also had to get up in the middle of the night and climb onto a chair to turn off the air-con. In the morning, the water pressure had dropped significantly. They only switched the valve after I asked the attendant, who seemed to have forgotten there was a guest, even though my stay was written on the front desk whiteboard. Checking out was a pain as well. I asked for an official receipt, and they didn’t have a working ballpoint pen. Imagine a 'hotel' establishment with no working ballpen?! That was the last straw. I made my complaints clear, and not having a working writing instrument was unacceptable. I will NEVER recommend Green Ridge Apartelle. It’s overpriced for such sloppy service and facilities.

I’ve stayed here before, about two years ago. It’s basic, and rooms are cheap, from 550 pesos per night, but it’s quiet, which is why I like it. Most other accommodation houses are on the main road and too noisy for me. No dogs, roosters, or traffic!
