The village was easy to wander around for food, and the resort served cheap, tasty meals, especially the pork satay and mango smoothies. We spent six nights at this lovely waterfront spot and had a great time. The staff were friendly, and since we were among the few non Philippino tourists, it was nice to get more of a local experience.

Internet was the weak point at Paras. It was barely usable when it connected at all, so we relied on mobile data most of our stay, and that cost it a star. This was our second visit, and the rest was just as consistent as before: attentive, helpful staff, a reasonably priced restaurant, and a central base about half an hour from the island's major destinations.

The sunset scenery was so peaceful, and White Island was easy to get to. The boatmen were accommodating and made sure we were picked up and dropped off safely. We also passed our free time playing table tennis and billiards. I fell for the place right away during our three days here. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the friendly staff checked in now and then to see if we needed anything. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to. 🤍

The only Filipino breakfast they had was bangus, and getting another viand meant paying extra. They say this is Camiguin's oldest resort and that the rooms were renovated, but to me they had only been repainted. It wasn't worth the price. My first stay here will also be my last, and this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in Camiguin.

That sunset was unforgettable, with fiery colors sinking into the sea and making you stop to take it all in. Paras Beach Club has a friendly feel, full amenities, and plenty of things to do around the resort, so it never felt like anything was missing. I've stayed at my share of resorts, and this one easily ranks among my favorites. What a blast!
