Pe're Aristo Guesthouse

We found it quiet and felt safe there, and the staff were nice. The rooms are quite adequate, the price isn’t too high, and it’s very close to the seamen's hospital. We stayed when my sister was nearly due. They also have a big, chubby, cute golden retriever.

The staff were kind and helpful, and there were some lovely puppies, though they got a bit noisy at night. I only spent one night in the grand, mansion-like house. There was plenty of space, but the furniture was old, the rooms could have been cleaner, and the bathroom was a little dirty.

It’s cheap, but cleanliness was a problem. The location is handy for the MyBus to the airport, which costs 25 pesos each. Inside, the bed sheets had other people’s hair, there was dust under the bed, the bin hadn’t been emptied, and the walls needed washing or painting. The shared bathroom needed cleaning too, with discarded soap and shampoo packets and hair in the drain. Staff were loud and noisy, and not at all helpful.

The guesthouse is near Mactan Cebu International airport and away from the crowds, which made it comfortable for our four days and three nights in Cebu last November. The bedroom was spacious, fully air-conditioned, and had wifi. The employees were very friendly and helped us during our stay. Terimakasih :)
