I booked 17-18 days but left with five days still to go, after finding a room with a refrigerator and no ants. I stayed in room 301, and every morning the ants were on the bed. Luckily, they never bit me. Their nest is under the tiles, and they come through the grout and spread everywhere. They’ll get into your trash unless you wash food containers before throwing them away. A refrigerator would’ve helped keep my leftover delivery food for breakfast and protected opened containers from the ants, but for some reason the owners won’t put one in the rooms. It’s hot in Manila most of the time, too. The rooms are quiet, in a quiet Alley, and the air conditioning and showers work fine. Still, the owners or managers don’t seem willing to spend on international travel standards, like fumigating for the ant colonies. Maybe budget travellers don’t mind the lack of a refrigerator or the ants. More power to you. There’s a 7-11 around the corner, but they take cash ONLY. Most restaurants are cash only too, and don’t cater to vegetarians at all. There are no free bottles of water. Most Filipinos I know speak English, but the night clerk here, from 10pm - 6am, didn’t answer when I asked her questions. I thought she spoke English, but you’ll need Google translate to get through to her. She might know 8-10 words, enough to check you in and that’s it.

We checked in Sep 12-13, and the staff were friendly and nice. The room was well sanitized, the linens and towels were clean, and I loved that the shower and toilet were separate. There was a heater, too. My only issue was the location. It’s in the middle of a neighborhood and was quiet, but walking there alone at night gave me a creepy feeling. I can highly recommend this place!❤️

It was cheaper than other hotel offers, and the staff treated us like regular visitors. The stay was okay for the price, but it didn’t feel especially clean or comfortable, and it wasn’t as promising as the other Oyo Hotels Ive visited. Nothing about the accommodation or service was excellent.

You can hear through the walls, and the shower had no hot water. They didn’t have a flat iron or toiletries either.
