Anex Hotel-Manila

Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. The friendly, attentive staff made me feel right at home, and the stay was wonderful. The hotel exceeded all my expectations!

Our cheapest available room was quite plain, though very clean. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a window.

The location was well above average, with the US embassy, a church, convenience store, McDonalds, street food, Chinese and Filipino food, and Rizal park nearby. There are also museums you can visit if you have time. I stayed with my brother for 3D2N for my US embassy appointment. The staff were accommodating, and I liked that they kept conversation brief, with just a simple greeting as you passed. My only concern was visible stains on the beddings.

After traveling all night, we were too exhausted to look for another hotel. They charged 2350 pesos for what they called a standard room, but it was very small. There was no water, slippers, or mirror. They brought slippers later when we asked, but when we asked about water, they said, “you have to pay for it.” The AC was noisy, and we were totally disappointed. They also took a 1000 pesos accidental deposit before we used the room. We’d stayed all over the Philippines for less than this room cost and had never had this kind of deposit system. At that high price, they didn’t offer water, a floor matt, a mirror, or slippers. I really wonder how they still don’t get any observations?!
