We picked this hotel partly out of curiosity, since we wanted to see whether the good reviews matched our experience. The room was large and comfortable, with a king-size bed, and breakfast came with the stay. The staff were very nice, and security at the entrance was strict. For the price, it was excellent value. We had a great stay.

Breakfast had lots of choices and was very good, and there were many international guests during our stay. Parking was free, though spaces were limited. The staff, from reception to housekeeping, gave excellent service. The building is old and has a strong sense of history; there was some mold in parts of the bathroom, which we assumed was related to its age. Our room was generally clean, but we noticed small cockroaches, so cleaning standards could improve. The air conditioner was an older model and couldn't be adjusted, but blankets were provided. Overall, we were very satisfied.

The breakfast at Marcelino Restaurant was a highlight, with plenty of tasty local and international food each day. Bryan was especially pleasant, courteous, and helpful, and Joy, Paolo, Jim, Airis and the rest of the team were just as impressive during our nine-day stay. Staff at every level were friendly, welcoming, and responsive. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and felt safe. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and lots of space, with cafes and restaurants nearby in United Nations Square. It’s also an easy walk to United Nations LRT station, and getting a Grab was simple. For the past 10 years, we usually stayed at a hotel along Roxas Boulevard when visiting Manila. This time, we tried Manila Prince Hotel because it’s near Paco Park Chapel, where we married in 1988, and St. Vincent de Paul Church, which we visit regularly, is just across the street. I’m glad we gave it a try and would stay here again. Highly recommended and good value for money.

We keep coming back to Manila Prince and have probably spent 2 to 3 weeks there altogether. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are very attentive, often offering help as soon as they see you with luggage. The breakfast is a big reason we return, with a great selection of rice, noodles, omelettes, fruit, pastries, and more. The location is decent, and the free shuttle to MOA and Robinsons Manila is handy, as long as you check the schedule and tell them in advance. Booking through Agoda or Booking.com is always cheaper for us than paying at the hotel. The rooms do feel a bit dated, and Netflix or other updated entertainment options would be nice. I’d also prefer a proper comforter instead of a blanket between two thin sheets. Still, we're happy staying here.

The lack of follow-up from management made an already embarrassing incident worse. No manager or supervisor came to acknowledge what had gone wrong, show concern, or say how they'd prevent it happening again. They left the receptionist to handle the situation and take the blame. The whole stay was supposed to be a family visit: we booked Executive Room (RM 206) for my senior mother-in-law and her helpers, Deluxe Room RM 204 for my pregnant wife and me, and my sister-in-law and her twin had another room. Around 9 PM the night before, my wife called the Front Desk to say my MIL would have an extra breakfast guest and that the charge would go to Room 204. Both rooms were under my name. The operator accepted the request without mentioning any conditions, so we assumed it was settled and told my MIL. At about 7 AM the next morning, while we were still asleep after a tiring day, my wife worn out from work and me from an Executive Check-Up, my MIL called to say the receptionist wanted immediate payment. We called the operator and clarified we'd pay when we came down for breakfast. Then my sister-in-law called to say the receptionist was pressuring them to pay the extra guest charge. Other guests were watching, so she felt forced to pay on the spot. We went down straight away to find out what had happened. Staff smiled and apologized, but that didn't undo the embarrassment, stress, or inconvenience. I'd look elsewhere if you want a pleasant family stay and staff who follow simple instructions.
