The lights by the beds were a frustrating design. Each one uses USB, but the outlet beside the bed is a standard two-pin socket, so you need your own USB adapter to use the light. The blanket was very thin too, almost just a sheet, and the dorm can feel cold at night if other guests like stronger air conditioning. The room was generally tidy and fairly clean. Hot water stayed steady and the air conditioning worked well. I also appreciated all the travel and food tips on the walls, especially the suggestions for local Filipino restaurants and nearby places to eat. They were useful and worth checking out. The front desk staff were patient and helpful, even when I made mistakes booking. Check in earlier in the day and you get a drink voucher for one free drink from 6 to 7 PM. Arriving later at night gets you a late check-in voucher for one free drink at their rooftop bar before 1 AM. It’s a good hostel at a reasonable price, close to the main tourist area and the LRT station. For a mixed dorm bed, I saw prices around 450 to 600 pesos, though the date, demand, and how early you book can affect that. I’d recommend booking through Hostelworld. With the price, helpful desk staff, drink, and useful wall information, I’d recommend the place.

I spent 4 nights and 5 days at Ola Hostel Manila. The restaurant-bar on the fifth floor was a highlight, with free cocktails during happy hour from 6 PM to 7 PM. It’s a budget-friendly spot if you mainly need somewhere to sleep, though road traffic noise comes through and may bother some guests. There’s no elevator, so you have to use the stairs to reach reception on the 2nd floor and the rooms on the 3rd and 4th. That could make it difficult for seniors or anyone with mobility issues. Decent value and nice perks, but accessibility may be a concern.

Ola hostel is welcoming and affordable, with clean rooms and kind staff. The security guard is friendly too, and everyone behaves well. Thanks for the good stay 👌👌

The laundromat next door and the lovely cafe nearby made things really convenient. Staff were lovely, and I enjoyed staying here. Good value for money.

I’ve been here for two days, and with more than 20 countries behind me, I can say this hostel feels like home. Good people, a nice vibe, and delicious food. Highly recommend 👏
