OYO 138 White Palace Hotel

The room was really comfortable, the workers were friendly, and the hotel is close to places like 7/11 and Robinson manila. I liked my stay and would come back, just hoping for a room without cockroaches next time. We had to switch rooms because there were lots of tiny ones in ours, and the Wi-Fi was very weak.

Carla and Hazel at reception were nice, and some other staff were pleasant too, but others seemed to lack work ethic. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The service needs a lot of improvement, and my stay was horrible. I paid the proper amount but got much less than I expected. The water heater and telephone didn’t work, one bulb was out and left the room very dark, and there was no complimentary bottled water. Then I found a used bar of soap in the bathroom. I was very disappointed.

There’s no shared spot to sit and have coffee, though there’s a Middle Eastern restaurant right next door. My room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and ready to help with whatever I needed.

For a stay in Ermita, this is a good place to sleep. The prices are reasonable, and the rooms are decent, though you have to ask housekeeping for the room amenities. It costs less than the popular places and is much nicer.
